This photography course teaches composition and manual camera settings. Learn how to get off auto features and use f-stop, shutter speed, ISO and other settings to get the best results for birds, wildlife, nature and landscape photos. First class will take place in the classroom. Second class with be hands on in the field to practice your new skills. Third Class: Review images and feedback in the classroom
3 weeks -- 2 hours per week
May 16th, May 23rd and May 30th from 5:00-7:00pm
1 Ticket includes all three classes. Cost is $120 per person
Classes are limited to 10 participants
You MUST bring a DSLR or Mirrorless Camera - no cellphone cameras
Course Outline
Class 1:

Introductions – Inventory of Basic Knowledge- what do you want to take pictures of and don't know how.

Review of Composition, F-Stop, Shutter Speed and ISO – how it all works together.

Find settings on your camera and practice

Discuss scenarios for different settings

Briefly review white balance, metering, and exposure compensation

Homework – practice taking pictures with different shutter speeds and f-stops (we will review pictures in the last class)
Class 2:

In the field practice – outside shooting at Riverlands in small groups. I will provide guidance and help with settings for each participant.
Class 3:
-
Bring 3-5 images to class on a flash drive – either taken independently or in class ( I will provide instructions on sizing)
